About Adding Student Profiles Individually

While the majority of students in your school or district are added to the MAP®Collapsed system in bulk, it occasionally becomes necessary to add a single student, such as when a student transfers in during the school year. For complete instructions, see Creating a Student Profile.

A student profile is a collection of information that uniquely identifies a student. The following fields on the profile must be completed:

Under normal circumstances, you want to create a complete student profile for testing and reporting.

However, if you are adding a student during testing and time is short, you may want to create a basic student profile for testing. To do this, simply fill in the information fields marked with an asterisk. The profile can be updated later to include the information required for reporting.

Student profiles should be filled out completely to ensure accurate individual, school, and district-wide growth reports.
