About Modifying Preferences

You can customize the MAP®Measures of Academic Progress® system to meet the needs of your district.

The configuration options for schools include:

• Setting term dates for the academic year, and test window dates for each term
• Adding schools, grades, programs, and ethnic groups
• Specifying custom names for the district, schools, grades, programs, and ethnic groups
• Activating or inactivating schools, grades, programs, and ethnic groups

The configuration options for testing include:

• Controlling the tests that are available and whether end-of-test reports display on student screens
• Declaring testing complete for the district
• Identifying contact information to display for MAP users who need assistance

Required Roles

You must be assigned at least one of the following MAP system roles to modify preferences:

• Assessment coordinator
• System administrator
