User Roles and Permissions

The roles you are assigned in the Web-based MAP system determine what the system allows you to do (your permissions). The following table lists tasks permitted for each MAP role.

Create and modify user profiles for roles with the same or lower permissions than your own (grid shows roles from highest on left to lowest on right)

View operational reports
Merge and unmerge student profiles
View details of test events
Reassign or exclude incorrect test events
Use Test Results
View MAP reports for associated classes and students
View MAP reports for associated schools, including all classes and students in the schools
View MAP reports for all schools, classes, and students
Export all test results as raw data to .csv files
View instructional resources

Note: Besides role assignments, additional information in instructor and administrator profiles determines the classes and schools for which each user can access test result data.

Keep in mind that a single user can be assigned multiple roles in the system. In addition, multiple users can be assigned the same role. For example:

• A single person might be assigned both the instructor and proctor roles.
• Each school in a district might assign the data administrator role to one of its staff members.
