User Roles and Permissions

The roles you are assigned in the Web-based MAP system determine what the system allows you to do (your permissions). The following table lists tasks permitted for each MAP role.

Note: Besides role assignments, additional information in instructor and administrator profiles determines the classes and schools for which each user can access test result data.

Keep in mind that a single user can be assigned multiple roles in the system. In addition, multiple users can be assigned the same role. For example:

Important! Your organization is solely responsible for the people who access the MAP system with logins created by your organization. It is critically important that all MAP system users keep student data secure and comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
