What's New for Educators

Here's a summary of changes to the Web-based MAP system, effective fall 2014. You can also view a PDF document of this summary.

Tailor Instruction with the Learning Continuum

New this fall is the Learning Continuum—an interactive tool for teachers and educators to tailor instruction using MAP and MAP for Primary Grades data. To access it, log into MAP and either: 

• click View Reports and Instructional Resources
• or, generate the Class Breakdown by Goal report and click any of the links (for details, see Access from the Class Breakdown Report)

At the core is the Class View, which matches students to the skills and concepts they need to develop.

Alternatively, use the Test View for a general look at the test subject without student results. It's similar to the DesCartes report, but with interactive viewing and filtering.

Find Khan Academy practice exercises for math

For the subject of math, we now provide MAP to Khan Academy reference documents. These documents enable you to match a student’s goal RIT score with Khan exercises, which are interactive problems for students.
