Automated Retrieval of Data Export Files

Web-based MAP provides a scripting interface for automatically retrieving a data file exported by the MAP system.

Using a script, you can regularly retrieve the exported file and place it in a location of your choice. This may ease imports of MAP test results into other systems.

When you use automated retrieval, the data export feature continues to work in the normal way. For example:

• You continue to set up exports using the Data Export Scheduler.
• The MAP system exports files with the usual frequency (up to one time per day).
• Your script uses your MAP user name and password to log in to the MAP system and retrieve the file that you previously scheduled for export.
• Each user can schedule export of only one file type at a time.

To automate retrieval of files, you must be assigned the following role in the MAP system:
