General Questions

If needed, a leader at your school or district can reset a password (NWEA cannot do this).
Note: Each person can also change their own password, such as after a reset. After logging into MAP, click Change Password from the bar on the top right.

MAP Skills

Your access to students can be interrupted if the student roster is not up-to-date in the system. When retrieving student records, the system performs these checks:
- Checks for students associated with your unique Instructor profile in the current term
- checks the term that just passed, not any earlier terms
- test data appears through the current term
- checks only for those students associated with your unique Instructor profile
If no students are found in the current term roster, MAP Skills checks the prior term (known as "roster look-back"). The rules for the look-back are:

For security, you cannot view existing passwords. If it's forgotten, you must reset the password.

Make sure the student is using the correct User Name, which you can view when you open the Students tab > Manage Passwords.
If you think another teacher has changed the password, reset it.
