Specifying Dates for Instructional Terms

The MAP®Measures of Academic Progress® system provides four instructional terms for each academic year. You can modify the start and end dates of these terms to match your district's terms. Set terms in the MAP system as short as one day, if necessary, to accommodate your school calendar. See Specifying Dates for MAP Testing.

Required Roles

To modify dates, you must be assigned one of the following roles in the MAP system:

• Assessment Coordinator
• System Administrator

Steps

To modify term start and end dates:

1. In the left navigation pane, select Modify Preferences > Manage Terms.
   

2. Select the academic year for which you want to modify term dates.
   

3. Click View/Update Terms.
   
4. For the desired term, modify the start and/or end date. You can type in dates, or select dates by clicking the calendar icons.

5. Click Submit.
