Tracking Report
Tracking Report overview
The Tracking Report lets you monitor your students’ MAP Reading Fluency assessment status, designate students as Early Reader and/or bilingual in Spanish, configure students’ practice experience, and more.
The Tracking Report
School and class
If you have multiple classes, use the dropdown menu to select the one you want to view.
Testing window
The testing window shows you which MAP Reading Fluency testing window you’re looking at (Fall, Winter, Spring). This will automatically default to the current testing window, but you can use the dropdown to select the others to see that data.
Tutoring time this week
This shows the number of minutes each student has spent on practice this week. This time includes time spent reading as well as coaching by Maya in the form of interventions. Use the hand icon to get a more detailed view.
You may notice color coding for the minutes value. The color thresholds are:
-
Red: 1–9 minutes
-
Yellow: 10–29 minutes
-
Green: 30 or more minutes
Stories read this week
This tells you how many stories a student has read this week. If your student is in the Early Reader Skills Scaffold you’ll see a scaffold icon next to the count of stories in this column. Use the hand icon to get a more detailed view. Note: a student must complete a story for it to be included in the number of stories read.
Review skills
Select the icon in the Review Skills column to go to the student’s Skills Diagnostic report.
Assessment status
This shows the status of your student’s most recent MAP Reading Fluency assessment, including the date they completed the assessment, if applicable.
If the student has not yet taken the MAP Reading Fluency assessment, you’ll see “Unassessed” in this column. You can assign assessments within the MAP Reading Fluency platform. See Assigning Benchmark Tests and Assigning the Dyslexia Screener.
The Tracking Report shows which students have taken the MAP Reading Fluency assessment
Language
You can choose English or Bilingual (English and Spanish). This is the language the student will practice reading in. Use the Configure Practice button to choose both the language the student will practice in as well as the language Maya will use when she works with the student.
Configure practice
Select Configure Practice to adjust your students’ practice experience. Check the box next to an individual student’s name or the box at the top of the column to configure all students in the class at once.
Follow the prompts to choose:
-
Practice language: This is the language the student will practice/read in as they work with Maya.
-
Standard MAP Reading Fluency Practice or Early Reader Skills Scaffold: If the student has taken the MAP Reading Fluency assessment, their results will place them automatically in one of these pathways, but you can adjust their placement.
-
Tutoring language: This is the language Maya will speak when providing coaching.
