About Reports and Instructional Resources

The MAP®Measures of Academic Progress® system provides two primary report types to MAP system users:

• MAP reports contain student assessment data from Survey, Survey with Goals, Screening, and Skills Checklist assessments. Instructors, Assessment Coordinators, and Administrators typically use these reports to measure student performance and growth from term to term.

  MAP reports include data from completed test events for students who are assigned to classes and schools for a specific term. Student profiles in the MAP system must include all required reporting attributes for the student data to appear on MAP reports.

  Required Roles

  To access MAP reports and instructional resources, you must be assigned at least one of the following MAP system roles:

  • Instructor
  • Administrator
  • Assessment Coordinator

• Operational reports help Data Administrators and Assessment Coordinators support data quality and monitor testing progress (for example, to look for students without valid test results).

In addition, instructional resourcesLearning resources designed to help you translate the raw data from your students' assessments into actionable plans for instruction, grouping, and more. The two types of instructional resources supplied by the MAP system are DesCartes: A Continuum of Learning (DesCartes) and Primary Grades Instructional Data (PGID). are used by Instructors, Administrators, and Assessment Coordinators before and after testing to help them plan instruction based on reporting of test data.
