Searching for User Profiles

You can find user profiles in your MAP database to view or modify the information associated with them.

Steps

To search for user profiles:

  1. In the left navigation pane, select Manage Users.
  2. Enter your search criteria.

    For details, see Field Descriptions for Search Criteria.

Tip: When searching for names, you can use the asterisk (*) as a wildcard character after one or more letters. The search returns all names that begin with those letters. For example, if you enter "H*" in the Last Name field, the search returns all users whose last name begins with H.
  1. Note: If you select a user role of Administrator or Instructor, additional criteria appear, such as school and Instructor ID.

  2. Click Search.

Sometimes a search for user profiles may yield undesired results or no results.

To revise a search for user profiles:

  1. Click anywhere on the Search Criteria banner to expand that section.
    The criteria used in the previous search appear.
  2. Modify the existing criteria as needed, or click Clear and enter all new criteria.

  3. Note: If you select a user role of Administrator or Instructor, additional criteria appear, such as school and Instructor ID.

  4. Click Search.
    The Search Results page lists the profile(s) matching your new criteria.
