Deleting a User Profile

Deleting a user profile completely removes the user from the MAP®Collapsed system. To temporarily inactivate a user profile so that access is blocked but can easily be restored, see Inactivating or Activating a User Profile.

You can delete a user profile only if its permissions are the same or lower than your own. You cannot delete or inactivate your own user profile. For details on user permissions see User Roles and Permissions

Important! You can delete a user profile only if no classes are associated with it. You can delete a class only if no students are associated with it. These rules do not apply to inactivating a user.

Before you delete a user profile, you must delete all student and class associations for that user.

Steps

To delete a user profile:

  1. In the left navigation pane, click Manage Users.
  2. Type your search criteria.

    For details, see Field Descriptions for Search Criteria.

  3. Select the user profile you want to remove, and then click Delete.
  4. Click OK in the confirmation box that appears.

To re-enter a deleted user into the MAP system, you must create a new user profile. For instructions, see Creating a User Profile.
