Troubleshoot Report Data

Do you have a student missing or other inaccuracies on your reports? For guidance, look for the applicable symptom below and follow the suggestions.

Many issues arise from the roster enrollments. The roster must be completed every term, so check with leaders about the roster status.

Student or test result missing from report

 

Possible Explanation What to Try

Student was not yet added in the roster for this term

Student just completed testing today

  • Wait for overnight process to update reports
Teacher or class assignment is incorrect (must be done every term)

Ethnicity, class, or other data are not complete

Test invalidated

Test was started outside of the test window date range

District averages missing

 

Possible Explanation What to Try

Test window is not yet closed.

  • In the left navigation pane, select Manage Preferences > Manage Terms and close the test window. Overnight processing required.

    Required MAP role: District Assessment Coordinator or System Administrator

Goal performance shows an asterisk (*)

 

Possible Explanation What to Try

Student may have answered too many items incorrectly.

Or, there are too few questions available in the RIT range assessed.

Or, norms data does not exist.

  • Compare the results from other students to narrow down the cause

College or state test projected proficiency not available

 

Possible Explanation What to Try

When creating the report, you selected a winter or summer term.

  • Only select a fall or spring term in the report options

Or, the NWEA study linking RIT to your state's standards is not available.
